Swearing-in ceremony of our newly appointed Assistant Deputy Registrars.

The Hon. Chief Justice presided over the swearing-in ceremony of our newly appointed Assistant Deputy Registrars. As a new cadre within the Judiciary, they will play a critical role in enhancing our administrative, judicial, and registry functions, working alongside Deputy Registrars to advance the Judiciary’s commitment to excellence in service delivery.
This cohort of Assistant Deputy Registrars is made up of staff who have been redesignated from other positions within the Judiciary, having pursued legal studies and been admitted to the Bar as Advocates of the High Court. This reflects the Judiciary’s and the Judicial Service Commission’s dedication to the professional growth of our staff. By prioritizing internal candidates, we ensure that those who have already demonstrated dedication and competence in their previous roles can continue to develop and assume new responsibilities within the institution.
This approach is part of our broader strategy to nurture talent and foster career progression within the Judiciary, reinforcing our strategic objective under the STAJ blueprint of having an inspired workforce committed to service excellence. As they take on these new responsibilities, I reminded them that they are not merely administrators of court processes but “missionaries of justice”. Integrity and professionalism must be the foundation of their conduct and their “North Star” as they contribute to the administration of justice.
