ICT Advisor

Mr. Tuka is talented ICT professional with over 20yrs experience in information system support, Systems and Network Administration, Systems Development and Implementation and deployment of e-technologies. He comes with rich expertise in ICT policy formulation and enforcement. Tuka is currently pursuing Msc in Computer Systems from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He holds Bachelor of Science in Computer systems from Kenya Methodist University. He also holds a Diploma in Computer Science from the Kenya Polytechnic.

Mr. Tuka has successfully completed the following professional courses; Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Information Technology Information Library (ITIL), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Administering IBM Lotus Domino. He has vast experience in both public and private sector having worked at Standard Group, Kenya Tea Development Agency and University of Nairobi.  

To advise the Chief Justice about business and ICT solutions and/or interventions and developments that Judiciary can adopt for effective service delivery.

1. Providing strategic information and communication technology analysis and/or advice to the Chief Justice;
2. Partner with the directorate of ICT to explore innovative solutions, such as mobile and ICT-based solutions, to expand outreach and promote access to justice via technology.
3. Advising the Hon. Chief Justice on ICT-enabled industry collaborations that promote the ICT infrastructure’s growth and hence service delivery in the Judiciary.
4. Reviewing and assessing the extent to which the current ICT infrastructure and applications in use within the Judiciary are aligned to the Chief Justice’s policy priorities, strategic direction and goals;
5. Undertaking in-depth analysis and review of the Judiciary ICT and providing the Chief Justice with information on the same as required;
6. Advising the Hon. Chief Justice on the selection of appropriate platforms for interventions such as an improved Court Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Program and continuing online education solutions for Judicial Officers and staff; and
7. Facilitating Performance Management, mentoring, guidance and counselling of staff.
